Arm Lift (Brachioplasty) Before / After
Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)is a surgical procedure that removes sagging, stretched-out skin on the upper arms. Additionally, excess fat is often suctioned off. Excess skin from dramatic weight loss is removed to restore the arm to a more pleasing shape.
Breast augmentation, augmentation mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breast. The surgeon inserts an implant behind each breast. The breast implant is a silicone shell filled with either a salt-water solution (saline) or silicone gel.
There are a number of reasons for this surgery: To enhance the body contour of a woman who, for personal reasons, feels her breast size is too small. To correct a reduction in breast volume after pregnancy. To balance a difference in breast size. As a reconstructive technique following breast surgery.
New surgical techniques and medical implants have made it possible for surgeons to reconstruct a breast that has been removed due to cancer or other disease. The reconstructed breast can often come close in appearance and form to a natural breast. There are many options that Dr. Stein can explain and discuss with you. Such as the tram flap procedure, which includes using abdominal fat and tissue to shape a new breast.
Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammaplasty) Before / After top
Breast reduction, reduction mammaplasty, is a procedure that removes fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breasts, making them smaller, lighter, and firmer. It can also reduce the size of the areola (the darker skin surrounding the nipple). The goal is to give the woman smaller, better-shaped breasts in proportion with the rest of her body. Also, done to relieve back and neck pain. Often done after dramatic weight loss.
Chin Augmentation (Genioplasty)
Chin augmentation is a surgical procedure that can improve one's appearance by altering the contour of the face. The procedure is designed to add size or to move forward a receding or "weak" chin. Chin contouring is often done in conjunction with other facial procedures (liposuction, facelift, and nose surgery). Chin advancement, genioplasty, gives a strong chin and balance to the face.
Ear Surgery (Otoplasty) Before / After top
Ear surgery, otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. For the most part, the operation is done on children between the ages of four and 14. Ears are almost fully grown by age four, and the earlier the surgery, the less teasing and ridicule the child will have to endure. Ear surgery on adults is also possible.
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid Surgery is a procedure to remove or rearrange fat--usually along with excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Eyelid surgery can correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes - features that make you look older and more tired than you feel, and may even interfere with your vision. Blepharoplasty can be done alone, or in conjunction with other facial surgery procedures such as a facelift or browlift. Fat transfer is used to the lower lip area often to fill in depression and hollow eyes. Fat injection to lower lips when appropriate can give a fresh and more youthful look.
Facelift (Rhytidectomy) Before / After top
As people age, the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun, and the stresses of daily life can be seen in their faces. Deep creases form between the nose and mouth; the jawline grows slack and jowly; folds and fat deposits appear around the neck.
A facelift, rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat, tightening the underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck. A facelift can be performed alone, or in conjunction with other procedures (forehead lift, eyelid surgery, nose reshaping). The facelift can improve the most visible signs of aging, making one look fresher, younger.
Brow/Forehead Lifts/Endoscopic
A forehead lift, "brow lift," is a procedure that corrects drooping brows and improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make one look angry, tired, or sad. The forehead lift procedure alters or removes the muscles and tissues that cause this furrowing or drooping. This smoothes the forehead, raises the eyebrows, and minimizes frown lines, restoring a more refreshed youthful appearance in the area above the eyes. Your surgeon may use the conventional surgical method, in which the incision is hidden just behind the hairline; or it may be performed with the use of an endoscope, a viewing instrument that allows the procedure to be performed with minimal incisions. Both techniques yield similar results -- smoother forehead skin and a more youthful looking appearance. Forehead lift is often performed in conjunction with a facelift to provide a smoother overall look to the face. Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) may also be performed at the same time as a forehead lift, especially if a patient has significant skin overhang in the upper eyelids. Sometimes, patients who believe they need upper-eyelid surgery find that a forehead lift better meets their surgical goals. Your surgeon will make the evaluation based on the position of the eyebrow and eyelid appearance.
Labioplasty
Labioplastyis a procedure that can help to remove excess tissue from the labia, restoring to normal position. The labia may be congenital or due to pregnancies. This procedure can be performed under local anesthetic, with only 2-5 days downtime.
Laser Resurfacing top
Laser resurfacing, sometimes called "laser peel," a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser is used to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer. The procedure is most commonly used to minimize the appearance of fine lines, especially around the mouth and the eyes. However, it is also effective in treating facial scars or areas of uneven pigmentation. Laser resurfacing may be performed on the whole face or in specific regions. Often, the procedure is done in conjunction with another cosmetic operation, such as a facelift or eyelid surgery.
Laser resurfacing may offer a number of advantages over other resurfacing methods: precision, little (if any bleeding and less post-operative discomfort. However, laser resurfacing isn't for everyone. In some cases, an alternative skin resurfacing treatment, such as dermabrasion or chemical peel, may still be a better choice.
For superficial or medium resurfacing, the laser can be limited to the epidermis and papillary dermis. For deeper resurfacing, the upper levels of the reticular dermis can also be removed. Varied penetration allows treatment of specific spots or wrinkles.
Lip Augmentation
Lip augmentation is a procedure done to improve and enlarge the shape of the lips. Can be done with injectable fillers. Often done with auto fat transfer and in some cases done with a permanent surgical procedure called chiloplasty.
Liposuction (Lipoplasty) Before / After 2 top
Liposuction, lipoplasty, is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. A number of new techniques, including ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL) and the tumescent technique, are helping many plastic surgeons to provide selected patients with more precise results and quicker recovery times. Liposuction can remove stubborn areas of fat that don't respond to traditional weight-loss methods.
Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty) Before / After top
Nose Surgery, Rhinoplasty, is a surgical procedure to reshape the nose. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems.
Thigh/ Butt Lift top
The Thigh/ Butt Lift is a surgical procedure that tightens loose skin around the thigh and butt. Additionally, excess fat is often suctioned off.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) top
Abdominoplasty, "tummy tuck," is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdominal and to tighten the muscles of the abdomen wall. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen.
The best candidates for abdominoplasty are men or women who are in relatively good shape but are bothered by a large fat deposit or loose abdominal skin that won't respond to diet or exercise. The surgery is particularly helpful to women who, through multiple pregnancies, have stretched their abdominal muscles and skin beyond the point where they can return to normal. Loss of skin elasticity in older patients, which frequently occurs with slight obesity, can also be improved.
